was founded by a group of music teachers, orchestra
musicians, and pop culture enthusiasts. After 15+ years of music making and
10+ years of friendship, they decided to join forces as an ensemble dedicated to
crafting unforgettable musical experiences for ceremonies and special events.
KARINA STARLING
Karina Starling is an orchestra teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools, having taught and guest conducted students of varying levels. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, a Viola Performance Certificate, and a Master's in Performing Arts Leadership and Management from Shenandoah University. In addition, she studied as a delegate in Athens, Greece and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and performed in Umbria, Italy.
In her free time, Karina performs in two community orchestras; maintains a private studio of violin and viola students, ranging from elementary age to adult; and attends music, comic, and anime conventions.
​She is a founding member of Ever Theme and a fandom enthusiast.
NORI STONE
Born in China and raised in the Northern Virginia area (NOVA), Nori Stone has been playing violin since the age of seven. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from the University of Richmond. Through her dedication to the music program, she earned the Jordan R'49 and the Benton music merit scholarships.
Today, Nori is a private violin and teacher with over 20 students from all over the NOVA area, as well as a sectional coach in Fairfax County Public Schools. Outside of music, Nori's other interests include drinking bubble tea with friends, watching animated movies, and traveling.
She is a founding member of Ever Theme.
SIGNE MORTENSEN
Signe Mortensen's musical journey began at the age of 4 when she starting playing violin. She holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education and a Violin Performance Certificate from Shenandoah Conservatory.
Currently, Signe teaches at Franklin Middle School as the Orchestra Director. Signe performs in the Loudoun Symphony and Fairfax Friends and Family Orchestra. In her free time she enjoys noodling around on the piano and guitar, spending time with friends, and drinking bubble tea.
She is a founding member of Ever Theme.
